In celebration of the ‘Remember Together’ campaign with the Royal British Legion, Rotary Watches are taking time to remember all of the hard work and sacrifice so many have made for the protection of the freedoms of people everywhere. This week, we’re celebrating GCHQs 100th Birthday on the 1st November through a brain teaser give away as a way of remembering the intellectual tradition of this amazing British institution.

During the Second World War, the Government Code and Cypher School (which later became known as GCHQ) was housed at Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes. It is within those walls that code breaker Alan Turing worked to create the remarkable machine that would decrypt the infamous Enigma code.

GCHQ will be observing several anniversaries by the secret services in 2019, including MI5/MI6 100 and Bletchley Park 80. Taking inspiration from the complex coding and cyphering often undertaken by these services, we’ve created our own little puzzle for you to solve!

All you have to do is work out the value of the question mark through calculating the value of the symbols presented for your chance to win one of the Limited Edition Royal British Legion MKII timepiece from Rotary Watches.

Think you know the answer? For full T&C’s and to enter the competition, simply head over to our Facebook page and write what you think the answer may be in the comments of the original post. Good luck!
